National Youth Theatre

I have been a member of the National Youth Theatre since 2014. It has allowed me to meet people with similar ambitions to write, direct or act in the industry. NYT has strengthened my skills in devising theatre through working together with other members. The National Youth Theatre is a supportive environment where I have been able to explore physical theatre to create effective ensemble work with other actors. My experience with the National Youth Theatre has provided me with skills valuable to many other projects. The National Youth Theatre Acting for Screen Masterclass is a six day programme for members, led by industry professionals, where young actors can hone their screen acting talent. In a nurturing environment with the strong, supportive ethos of NYT, this allowed me to experience the challenges of acting for screen and understand the actor's relationship with the camera and the differences and similarities to communicating with a theatre audience.
